Darryl Morris

Morris attended Texas State where he earned All-WAC Second-Team honors in 2012 after he tied for 23rd nationally and fourth among WAC leaders with four interceptions.  He also finished ninth among league leaders with nine passes defended and was fourth among Bobcat leaders with 61 tackles- two tackles for losses. 

A native of San Antonio, Morris was a four-year starter for the Bobcats where he earned All-Southland Conference honors as a sophomore and ended his career with 223 tackles, including 162 solo stops, 16.5 tackles for losses of 60 yards, five interceptions and 31 passes defended in his career. He also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble during his career.  He had the distinction of returning an interception 37 yards for a touchdown and recording a safety after sacking a Lamar quarterback in the end zone as a junior.

Morris signed with the San Francisco 49ers as Free Agent in 2013 where he made the team and had significant playing time. Pictured is Morris with a Game Ball he was awarded for his ST play.
